Blog-Hop Day Three: Quick Treat Pouches

Today the project is these super quick and inexpensive treat pouches. I'll tell you right now, aside from punches and stamps, all of my supplies for this craft came from my local Dollar Tree!!

First you need a pack of basket style coffee filters (my pack came with 160 filters for a buck).

Second, pick up some hemp cording, this is Crafters Square brand in white and has 30 yards!!

The next supply is a bag of candy (any kind), yep,

I got that from Dollar Tree too!

Okay, now to the steps:

Step 1: Grab two coffee filters and fill with a small pile of candy (I have four in each).

Step 2: Tie your coffee filter up with the twine (5-6" is usually fine)

Step 3: Punch out some circles for a tag, I used a 2" scallop circle, 1 1/2" circle, and 1" circle.

Step 4: Stamp your image on paper and then punch with your smallest circle. I used and apple stamp in red and then a "A+ Student" stamp in black

Step 5: Layer up your punches and add a small hole for stringing your tag on to the pouch ( I used my 1/8" punch from my Crop a Dial).

Step 6: Add you tag to the pouch.

Step 7: Fluff up your coffee filter by separating the layers of the paper (see last picture).

And that's it!! You can make a classroom full of these pouches for under five bucks!! I love it!
