Today I want to share a little project I made. It is a treat bag and card set. I LOVE the reindeer from Create a Critter and just had to give him some love today.
For the body of the treat bag all you need is a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock.
Score (on the short side) at 2 1/2" and 6".
Score (on the long side) at 4 1/2" and 6 1/2".
Fold all the score lines in each direction. Bring the sides together (score lines together to form the square bottom) to make the body of the box. It helps to fold these lines in both directions too.
I like to add adhesive to the over-lap on the sides and punch holes in the top. You can see in the picture how I close the top with a ribbon (about 7 inches).
I found this You Tube video of a similar treat bag if you need some help.
I add the front decorations - layers cut at 3" x 3 1/4" and 2 3/4" x 3". I cut the Create a Critter Reindeer at 3". I heat embossed the "Merry Christmas" with black embossing powder and a heat gun. I used an Action Wobble to add the reindeer and he moves!! LOVE THAT!! :)
The card is a Z-fold card with the same reindeer cut at 4". The sentiment is heat embossed in red on white paper. I added Stickles to the noses to give them lots of sparkle. I drew on the white gel pen stitches with a gelly roller pen. The "always believe" is a Studio G stamp from last year.
I am adding the card / treat bag to the following challenges:
