Valentine Goody Bags

Hi Everyone!!! Paula over at More Than Favors is having a wonderful Wacky Wednesday.

Wacky Wednesday #21 Gift & Treat Bags

I LOVE making 3-D projects and with two young boys (6 and 8 years old) I make lots of goody bags for their classes.  I have been working on some cute little goody bags for Valentine's Day.

I made 50 of these ones...

And 50 of these ones.
The heart is from Doodle charms cut at 2 1/2".  The bag topper is a piece of red card stock cut at 3 1/2" x 4".  The mats on each of these bag toppers include a piece of white card stock and patterned paper.  The patterned paper measures 3" x 1 1/2" and the white card stock measures 3 1/4" x 1 3/4".

The "Happy Valentines Day" stamp is a Close to my Heart stamp set called "Seasonal Celebration" that I grabbed at a garage sale this last summer.

I bought the bags (that measure 3" x 4") at Craft Warehouse.  They sell for $1.99 for 100 bags.  I thought the price was excellent for the purpose I am using them.

I also made an additional 50 (25 of each style) for my Etsy store.  So if you need some quick and pre-assembled goody bags, head over to CardsbyCG.etsy.com and pick up a pack of 25 bags (just add you own candy and you are good to go).

I made these ahead of time, but I'll have to add the candy a little closer to Valentines Day.  I think I'll add some kisses or hugs or some other wrapped candy. For the pictures I added some Mike and Ike's "Red Rageous" candy.  Don't they add the perfect Valentine color!! :)

After I fill the bags with candy, I'll simple staple or add some glue runner under the paper topper.  I love them and they are oh-so-simple too!!

The back of all the bag toppers are blank, that's where my son's will write the "to" and "from" before giving them to their classmates.

Thanks so much for visiting me here at CardsbyCG.blogspot.com.  I'd love to hear what you think.  Feel free to become a follower or sign up for my email updates (provided through FeedBurner).  I'd love to share my crafting journey with you! - Cheryl
