Bleeding Heart Birthday Card

Yep, another challenge!! :) I LOVE CHALLENGES!

I don't think I've talked much about my gardening here on my blog, but I love to garden.  Growing veggies is my #1 but flowers are a very close second.

When I read about the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday the first thing that popped into my head was my Bleeding Heart plants.  Last year I took a lot of pictures of the ones in my yard.  I used my own pictures for this card.

The mat of pink circles paper is from the DCWV Spring stack. I printed my picture with my Dell printer onto simple white card stock. I was tempted to print it on glossy photo paper but I knew I wanted to emboss the sentiment and didn't know how that would work out on glossy paper.

I glued on three little "skittle" gems that have been dyed dark pink.

I embossed the Scrappy Mom sentiment with white embossing powder.

I added a second picture to the inside along with more of the matching paper stocks.

Thanks so much for visiting me here at CardsbyCG.blogspot.com.  I'd love to hear what you think.  Feel free to become a follower or sign up for my email updates (provided through FeedBurner).  I'd love to share my crafting journey with you! - Cheryl

  1. So pretty! I just bought the skittles and dye last weekend and colored my first batch, I love how easy they were to make!

  2. How cool! I can not believe that is a picture of a plant from your garden. I bet your garden is wonderful. Enjoy Valentine's Day.
