Cupcake gift card holders

Today is have a card to share that is completely inspired my Tracy at Craft Junkie Too. So I was watching a couple of her older YouTube videos and came across this one for a cupcake shaped card that would hold a gift card in a little pocket.  I know her video is a year old (July of 2009, I think) and thanks to my Gypsy, I updated her design and came up with this card.

I have uploaded the Gypsy file for you.  You will need the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge for this project.  The file includes a cupcake shaped card base, a cupcake top, wrapper, gift card pocket and an additional wrapper if you want the little cupcake liner lines.


The cupcake top us cut with DCWV purple glitter paper. 


The cupcake liner is cut with a wonderful rainbow tiger stripe paper that gives this cupcake tons of style. The "Make a Wish" stamp is by Scrappy Moms Stamps.


I cut the card base with white card stock.  The Gypsy file includes this card base... super simple to cut and just score on the lines. :)


I got this purple sheer ribbon from The Salvation Army thrift store. If you haven't checked thrift stores for crafting supplies... please do it!! I've found a ton of great finds there.  I also added a purple rhinestone to the center of the bow.

The Gypsy file also includes this little gift card pocket. Just attach it on the bottom and two sides and you have yourself a coordinated pocket!
