New Parent Card

If you haven't yet, please take a second to enter my 400 follower giveaway!

I have a Cricut-less card to share with you today... I know... shocking!!!

Here is the photo I started out with.  I took this photo with my oldest son holding my Mom's thumb when he was about a month old.

The photo inspired this card.  It's a super simple card but features my very favorite sentiment ever:

"Children hold their
parents’ hands
for a short time,
but hold their
hearts forever!"

I added some white gros grain ribbon to the bottom of the card but tied it in a bow along with some wonderful green and white twine I bought from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I added three self stick rhinestones to the top left of the photo.  The picture is mounted up on pop dots.

Here is a close up of the sentiment block.  I used Photoshop to create the sentiment using Pea Inga font.

Here is the inside of the card made to match.
All the paper is K Marcella, "Monkey Around" from Target.
For the stitching, I used a green Zig writer pen.
