"Save the ta-tas" cards

Welcome to the Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop. If you came from Meg at ladybugcrafting.blogspot.com you are in the right place.... if you just stumbled upon the hop, please head back t0 Andrea's blog (Andrea's Coffee Time)
where the hop begins, you don't want to miss a stop.

What better way to add a little humor to a tough time than by sending a fun card like this to a cancer patient. I love these cards. As fitting as they are for this blog hop, they could be modified to make a wonderful bachelorette party invite, Valentine's Day card or Anniversary card too.

This first card was created on my Gypsy by welding two heats together. The finished card measures about 4" x 5 1/2" so it will fit into a standard A2 envelope. The "bra" is a 3" circle cut in half. The paper is from an Echo Park Spots and Stripes mat stack. I cut the straps from scraps of the same paper.

I created this little button using Photoshop. I love the sentiment. Again, I used some scrap paper to create the larger circle here, the sentiment layer measure 1 1/4" and the larger circle is 1 1/2".

I made a little pink ribbon to go on my lovely ladies' top. The little pearl strips are a trim I bought at a thrift store (gotta love thrift store finds).

Here you can see the shaped card base. I love that it is a pair of hearts! :)

For my "Save the ta-tas" girl, I used the heart as a guide and hand cut the bust shape. I really wanted more of the chest / shoulder area for my second card. I used the same paper for her top.

Again, she got a pink ribbon to wear. I used more of the pearl trim for her top.

For this sentiment button, I downloaded the logo from the savethetatas.com breast cancer awareness website.  Again, I used some scrap paper to create the larger circle here, the sentiment layer measure 1 1/4" and the larger circle is 1 1/2".

Here you can see the slightly different card shape this card forms.

As a huge "thank you" for stopping by my blog, I'd be happy to provide the template for my second card. I love it!!! :) If you'd like me to send you the "Kiss me! I'm a Survivor" button, please tell me in a comment and be sure to leave your email address.

Thanks for stopping by today, your next hop stop is Amanda at A-prata-design.blogspot.com but before you go, please leave me a comment (and become a follower) for the chance to win my blog candy.
