Spider Treats

Today is another Craft Junkie Too Design Team day. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love being on Tracy's Design Team!! Her awesome assignments are just a small part of it.  The challenge for this week is:

Fall or Halloween Goody Bags
Here is my wonderful creepy but super sweet spider treats!! I'll even tell you how I created it! :)

For each spider you'll need:
a plastic plate - whatever color you'd like your spider to be
(it needs color on the bottom of the plate - I found plastic plates usually do)
Four pipe cleaners - again, whatever color you'd like your spider to have
Eyes - mine are 1/2" and 1" punch, but you can use googly eyes too.
hot glue gun
stapler and staples - four per spider

Fold the plate in half to get the center mark. Fold your pipe cleaners in half. Hot glue two legs to each side to create your four legs per side. Let the glue set.

Fold the plate in half to get your spider's body. Staple the corners where the legs are. Add your candy and then place a couple staples across the front of the spider's "mouth".

Now you can glue on your eyes (hot glue or whatever else works) and bend the legs up to look like my finished spider. My kids love putting these together... thank goodness, because I made them for my boy's classrooms --
60 spiders total!

Here is the start of our spider army... running across my kitchen floor!!

And here is the complete gang of spiders... 60 in all! Each spider contains candy, We added a tag to the bottom of each spider that looks like this:
That's it, please head over to Tracy's blog and see what

I just made some of the Candy Corn boxes that Jessica of Chick-n-Scrap has a tutorial for. Imagine my hubby coming home to paper plate spideys & candy corn treat boxes.
