I am a very proud member of Tracy's design team over at Craft Junkie Too.
Tracy asked the design team for this week to design a
"I am Thankful for..."
project.
I am so thankful for my family... I love how they help around the house, give me crafting advice and my kids love to create along side me. So when I received the project assignment of "I am thankful for..." I naturally asked my two boys what they think I should make.
My oldest son had watched Mary (CardsTV) make a hot chocolate packet card on her YouTube channel. So that was his suggestion. Here is my take on a Cocoa packet made as a small Thanksgiving gift for a loved one:
I made the sentiments on my computer using the Gabriola font.
Here is the project all opened up. As you can see the hot cocoa packet attaches at the top with two holes (I used my crop a dile, but any hole puncher will do) and tie a bow with ribbon to hole the packet.
On the inside, I added more of the same orange patterned paper and a white piece to serve as the message portion of the card. I added white gel pen stitches (yeah, I'm kind of addicted) and a couple chip board leaves from the sticker pack.
Here are the dimensions for this project:
Card body: 4" x 11" - scored and folded at 1" and 6 1/4"
Front mats: 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" and 3 3/4" x 4 1/2"
Inside mats: 3 3/4" x 4 1/2" and 2 3/4" x 4"
Ribbon: about 10"
Thanks so much for visiting me here at CardsbyCG.blogspot.com. I'd love to hear what you think. Feel free to become a follower or sign up for my email updates (provided through FeedBurner). I'd love to share my crafting journey with you! - Cheryl
