Congrats on your Gypsy - I just bought mine a few weeks ago and am still learning how to use it. Great Thanksgiving project - TFS! I was inspired to make one too, after seeing a great project on another blog site I follow. My Granddaughter and I cut out a bunch of leaves, and a very large Tree (bare - no leaves) - as large as my cutting pad would hold on a diagonal - I think it's about 14". I got a flower pot and designed a nice little tag for it, ran some ribbon through it and tied it around the rim of the flower pot. Every day we write something that we are thankful for on one of the leaves, and we drop them into the flower pot. On Thanksgiving morning, we will read all of the sentiments on the leaves, attach them to the paper tree, and "plant" it into the flower pot. My granddaughter is loving this project and is so excited to come home every day and write something new on the leaves that she is thankful for.
