Sailboat Birthday card

I have a cute card to share today.  My favorite part is because of the shape, the card ROCKS!!  How cute is that?? :) I LOVE cards that move!
The card shaped comes from Boys Will be Boys, it's sized to 5" (the real dial size is 4.33" W x 5.24" T)  and welded into a top fold card.  It easily fits into an A2 envelope too. I cut the boat out of scrap card stock and embossed the red sails with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  All layer got inked in their color and an finger dauber (the white layer was inked in black ink).

The little boy and his clothes are cut at 2 1/2" from Paper Doll Dress Up. I cut his body (on black out) , a shirt, hair, and sailor hat and collar.  Again, all layers were inked before assembling. His face is from Peachy Keen stamps, Everyday Character Face Assortment, 5/8" face.

I love the waves!! :)  The top waves are from Plantin Schoolbook cut at 1".   The bottom waves are from ZooBalloo cut at 3/4". These are both cut with scrap Bazzill textured card stock.  Again, I embossed them with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked them with my finger dauber.  I finished off the portholes by filling them with these adorable buttons. I added a couple lengths of craft twine (tied in the back) and hot glued them in place.

This adorable flag is hand cut to fit where the original flag was. The stamp is from Scrappy Mom's set Simple Sentiments.  Some white gel pen doodles finished the card.

From this side angle, you can see the card base it cut in white. It is folded at the top so it can rock on the curved base.  As much as I already loved shaped card bases, the rocking motion on this card is terrific.  It's sure to make my nephew smile on his birthday. :)

BTW, I just found out I won at ABC Challenge for my last submission :
