Halloween Blog Hop: Day 3

Thanks so much for joining me on the third day of the Halloween blog-hop!! I'm so excited you came back to craft with me again!  Don't forget to leave me a comment at the end of this post for your chance to win my blog candy for today!

In case you missed it, here is a link to my blog candy announcement.

Yesterday was World Card Making Day so I thought it was only fitting that I share a card with you!

Today the project is the tunnel card.  You can easily make this card for most any occasion, but for our Halloween  themed hop, I made a Halloween card!

Here are the supplies you'll need for this card:

2 card stock base, both measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
2 coordinating CS pieces measuring 5 1/4" x 2"
1 frame piece
plus pieces to decorate the front and inside

Step one: start with a card base and a card inside.  Both will measure 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Fold one for the card base (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and fold the other to match but then add two more score/fold lines, each at 2 1/4". Now your second card base (the inside of the card) will form the letter "M."
- see picture-

Here is the sample in white so you can see it better - I used black for this card.

Step Two: cut a window size hole in the center of the inside card.

Again, here is the white sample.

I used a hole cutter to make sure the hole is centered.  Mine measures 3" but you can make yours measure as large or as small as  you'd like to fit your card design.

Step Three : Attach the inside to the card base.  I fold the whole inside up and start with one of the panels and glue it to the inside of the base. - See picture -Then attach the second side by applying glue runner and closing the card to attach the inside to the base.

Step Four: I decorated the inside side panels with matching paper to the front.  The side panel papers measure 2" x 5 1/4"  (for the decorative paper).
Then I cut a border for the window using Accent Essentials, Essential 30 at 4 1/4" and attached it all.

Step Five: Decorate the front.  I cut the front papers to 5 1/4" x 4" and 5" x 3 3/4" .  I added the adhesive ribbon across the bottom. I then used my ATG gun to attach the front to the card base.  I then added the "stitching" with my white Gelly Roll pen.

Step Six: I added the sentiment I stamped from an Inkadinkado $1 stamp to the front and attached the ghost using pop-dots.   On the inside I added the Happy Halloween stamp to the center of my card.  It was also a $1 Inkadinkado stamp. The spiders were PDDU also cut at 1", 1 1/2" and 2".

Step Seven: I attached the ghost (PDDU 4 1/4") and the mats to the front.
Black: 5" x 3 1/4"
Spider web: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Here is the complete inside of the card:

Here are the details about today's project:
Papers used: generic cardstock, Heidi Grace "Jeepers Creepers"
Ribbon: KI Memories "Haunted Words"
Cartridges used: Paper Doll Dress Up
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Glues: Scotch/3M ATG glue runner, Zig 2-way glue

Thanks so much for joining me on the hop today.  Don't forget to leave me a comment to be
entered to win today's  blog candy.
