I am a very proud member of Tracy's design team over at Craft Junkie Too. Tracy asked the design team for this week to share a Winter themed project. My project today is a card designed for a winter birthday.
I used Celebrate with Flourish for the ice skates. I love this cut, so pretty and simple too. I've really been resisting buying any of the lite cartridges because they never go on sale (at least not at my Walmart), but I finally broke down and grabbed this ONE.
The inside of the card got matching bg paper and matting... even a little of the sheer ribbon too.
The front features a pair of ice skates, complete with glittered and rhinestoned snowflakes! I added gel pen stitches on the laces, silver metallic paper on the skate blades and mounted the ice skates up on pop-dots. Including a beautiful sheer blue ribbon across the top.
The back ground paper is a wonderful print with ice skates and snowmen in a blue color scheme by DCWV. I inked all the bg paper with navy ink before matting it on the navy blue card stock.
The sentiment reads "Wishing you a cozy winter birthday." I matted the sentiment onto more silver metallic paper and then on a navy mat, and attached it with pop-dots.
It is perfect for that special person celebrating a birthday this time of year.
The card measures 4.25” x 5.5” and is made out of white card stock.
I am selling this card in my Etsy store. Feel free to stop over there and take a look at everything I have for sale. If you are interested in this card specifically, here is the link:
