It's been a while since I've entered a challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2. When I saw the challenge cut was the little boy fishing from A Child's Year (a cartridge I love and haven't used much), I knew I just had to break it out and make a card! :)
The back ground paper is from the new "Dots, Stripes and Plaids" mat stack from DCWV. It has glitter in it which my hubby thinks makes the card look busy and girly! :( I used craft colored card stock for the card body.
The "Happy Father's Day" stamps is from Studio G. Originally I was going to make this a b-day card but when finished, I really thought it would make a lovely Father's Day card. One of the lovely ladies on the BBTB2 DT put a little hat on the boy and I just fell in love with it! :)
The fishing creel and the fish are from Everyday Paper Dolls. I added a little button with some twine to the basket. Gel pen though out really brings the white out in the back ground paper.
Here are the fish (cut from gold textured card stock)
strung on the white twine that runs down the side of the card.
I put Glossy Accents on the fishing puddle and stripes on the fish.
Last, I put glitter glue on the boy's hat, and I was done.
