Tracy over at Craft Junkie Too is up to it again!! She has asked her wonderful design team (including me) to create a project with the theme:
"Easter is on it's way!"
Here is my card!! I made an easter basket card. The top layer of the basket is embossed vellum (more info at the bottom of this post) that forms a pocket for the chocolate bunny and egg to slip into!!
Here is the egg shaped card pulled out of the basket bottom. The egg card is from Doodlecharms cut at 4". The bunny (and it's layer) is cut from Gypsy Wanderings at 2 1/2". His eye is added with Stickles because I didn't have a pearl small enough.
Here is the inside of the egg card. The "Happy Easter" stamp is from Studio G.
I added a little lace trim to the top and bottom of the basket but the top piece features this little bow I tied using my Bow-Easy. I had to use hot glue to attach the lace. I was a little nervous about using hot glue on the vellum but it turned out just fine.
I inked around the edges of the egg card with some pink ink and a dauber. The paper is GCD Studios called "Eggstravaganza" from Michaels. I also applied some self-stick pearls to the top of the egg.
The basket is from Doodlecharms. I sized it on my Gypsy to "real dial size" 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". I cut one in pink for the top layer, and two in white to attach to the back to add weight and strength.
I added more of the pearls to the handle of the basket. Gel pen stitches added the perfect touch to the handle and body of the basket. To get that wonderful weave look to the basket, I simply placed the vellum piece on my Martha Stewart Score Board and scored on every-other line. I then turned the piece 90 degrees and scored every-other line in the other direction. It was pretty simple but I think it had a lovely effect!

Wow! You did a great job using that vellum. I think I may have a fear of using it. I should try.
