Little Lion Card

I love this little card!! It just makes me smile.
The little lion is cut from Life's a Party at 2 1/2" - used Post-it Craft Paper (it's self adhesive paper and cuts beautifully on the Cricut).  The card base is a tag from Preserves. I went with this spiky shape to resemble the lion's mane. :)  The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" so it'll fit in an A2 envelope.

I inked all the loin's pieces with orange ink and a finger dauber. I love the dimension inked edges have. The eyes and nose are flat-back black pearls, but I added a little gel pen shines to his eyes.

I embossed the sentiment flag using white embossing powder and a Scrappy Mom's stamp. I added gel pen stitches to all the black layers (the sentiment flag and the circle on the card base too).

The patterned paper is from a My Minds Eye stack called Stomp. I thought that the glittery paper resembles the leaves in a jungle. :) I also inked the card base with the orange ink. I decorated the edge of the card with the same black pearls I used for the lion's nose.
