Diary of a Wimpy Kid : The Cheese Touch

In case you missed the last few days on my blog, I am sharing a few goodies from my son's recent Diary of a Wimpy Kid birthday party.
If you'd like to see the invites (complete with free files) please see this post:

In case you haven't read the books, seen the movies, or have a "Wimpy Kid" in your house, here is a little back ground on the "cheese touch". In the first book in the series, there is a old piece of Swiss cheese rotting on the black top in the playground. One day a student touches the cheese and starts "the cheese touch epidemic"... it's transferred by a student with the "cheese touch" touching another student. The good news is that if you have your fingers crossed, you are protected.

For these goody bag cheeses, I cut a 4" x 4" piece of yellow paper (I used Bazzill card stock) and printed one of these two sentiments (one on each side).

Next, I used an assortment of punches to cut the Swiss cheese holes. My largest punch was a 1" circle, the smallest was a standard handheld hole punch. Just be sure to avoid the areas with the sentiments.

I them took an olive green, grass green and brown ink and smudged up the "cheese" to resemble the old molded, rotten cheese in the book (and movie). I think I did a pretty good job, but the texture in the Bazzill card stock sure made a difference tool.

The front...

.... and the back. :)
