The Sweetest Thing Challenge

I am joining in on another sketch challenge over at The Sweetest Thing blog.

So, I asked my two sons what I should do for the theme of this sketch challenge.  They agreed it should be a Christmas card.... that's where the agreement ended! :)

Bryce, my 7 year old, said I should use red and green colors and picked the paper out of a DCWV Christmas stack for the "Merry Christmas" card.

Owen, my 5 year old, said I NEED to make a blue card (his favorite color) and picked the paper from the same DCWV Christmas stack for the "Happy Holidays" card.

So, in the interest of preserving the quiet in my house (my husband works nights, so sleeps days), I made both and you guys, all my blogging friends, can pick a favorite!!

The Sweetest Thing Challenge

I came across this challenge today and decided to make a card for the sketch challenge.  The blog is at:

Here is the sketch challenge:

After looking at this sketch, I had a color scheme in mind but was stumped as to which sentiment I should add.  I asked my sons (5 and 7 years old).  One wanted a birthday card and one wanted a thank you card.  So what's a mother to do??  I made one of each! :)
