Hi Everybody! Today is Thankful Thursday over at CrazyAboutCricut, and I am a very proud member of the Design Team. The challenge this week was to make something to honor someone in your life. Here is the project that I made with my boys:
We made this wall hanging for our neighbor who is an EMT. She'll probably take it to work and hang it in the AMR dispatch offices. I'd love for her and her co-workers to know they are appreciated for being everyday heroes! As luck would have it, this week is also EMT week! :)
This design was inspired by Ruthie over at September Ninth. She made a wonderful vintage rosette tutorial (complete with videos) that my boys just loved. So together we set out on our Thankful Thursday project with Ruthie's inspiration fresh in our minds.
We used a Fiskars punch called Effervescence on the rosette and on the little tails. My boys had a blast folding the accordion folds for the rosette! :) The EMT logo came from a free SVG file I downloaded from SVG & MTC Files Blog. I altered it just a little bit.
My eight year old told me what he wanted the tail to say... I think he came up with the perfect sentiment for a first responder! :)
Here is a close up of the logo. We put lots of layers of pop dots on this project. My boys love pop dots so this was super fun for them. The asterisk and snake part of the logo is popped up, so is the white circle and the layer of white on top of the red circle.
We added a sheer ribbon to hang it up by simply punching a couple of holes in the back.
We have an awesome prize this month, it's a Post-it prize pack!!
Don't forget to head over to Crazy About Cricut, and enter your family project and to see the awesome inspiration projects from the other DT members!

LOVE it!!! It's always a great feeling to be appreciated. So many of our police and fire men/women are rarely thanked. This is awesome!!
Hugs,
Tanya

Are you feeling the love? LOL

Love it. May have to scraplift since my nephew is and EMT and you can't find anything. Thanks for sharing

What an awesome choice for someone to honor Cheryl! I love this project! I'm sure your neighbor was honored to receive it too! Sounds like the boys had fun working on it too!
TFS!
