"My Own Monster" T-Shirts

Here is what my boys and I did on Sunday afternoon:

We found these two "My Own Monster" iron-on kit on clearance at Target (from $4.99 down to $1.24). We added a plain colored t-shirt and we have a perfect rainy day activity.

Here is Owen's t-shirt:
First you iron on the body shape (only one included with each kit) - we added arms, legs and the hat too. Here comes the best part... each set comes with over 50 possibilities for features, extras like scales, band-aids, antennae, etc.

As you can see we up-cycled a blue t-shirt. He picked the baseball player. He had lots of fun mixing and matching the parts to create his perfect monster. I did all the ironing, but my boys placed all the parts until they were happy with how their monster looked.

Here is Bryce's T-shirt:
His shirt had some staining so we did our best to cover the stain when placing the monster's body. All the pieces are flocked so they have a wonderful fuzzy feel to them. They really turn out nice and professional looking when complete. :)

And here is Bryce's monster done. He added band-aids, scales, freckles, etc. He really had a great time.

Following the simple directions we had a wonderful Sunday afternoon activity and came away with some terrific t-shirts, a fun time and happy boys! :)  Plus we have many extra monster parts to use on additional projects! LOVE IT!

I am no way advertising the SEI "My Own Monster" kits...
just sharing our wonderful experience with them.
