Puppy Birthday Card

I used Kraft paper for the base of this A2 card. The layout is from a Die Cuttin' Divas sketch challenge that is starting today. I love the fall colors I chose. ;)

This adorable little puppy is the "terrier" from Create a Critter (cut at 2 1/2") and stamped with a Peachy Keen 1 1/8" "Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed" set. I love this set. :) I colored the whites of the puppy's eyes with my white gel pen and added the pink accents using a Glaze Gel Pen. The little rhinestone finishes off the collar.

The little flag is stamped with my go-to sentiment stamps from Scrappy Mom's Stamps.

Of course I decked out the inside of my card with scraps too.

All this paper is from the .97 cent Halloween paper pack by Studio G from Walmart. I love great deals!  The scalloped circle is cut at 3 1/2" (as well as it's matching circle insert) is from Winter Woodland, but you can grab a scalloped circle from a number of carts or punches. I also added a little scalloped border using a Fiskars punch. I just had to add some doodling details with my white gel pen. I colored the Puppy's eyes and added some white stitches on all the black layers too.
Here is the sketch for the Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge. Hop on over there to see the designer's inspiration projects... including mine!! I am a proud new member of the DCD Design Team.

Oh my Cheryl~
love this cute card, I haven't tried doing the puppy from the cartridge yet, but I think you just inspired me too... but you gave him a peachy keen face and that made a big difference.....so adorable.... I have to put that peachy keen face on my wishlist too....
