Simple pumpkins

Do you still need some last minute ideas for Halloween?? I've got the perfect idea for you.
I think these adorable little paper pumpkins are oh-so-cute, plus they house a sweet little treat too. I took the idea of the folded 3-D paper pumpkins I used for my Fall Scene card and magnified it. I used a total of seven layers. I used my Gypsy to cut a 3" oval and put a 1" circle on the inside. I folded each piece and glued the layers together. Before you glue the final layer together, slip in your Dum-Dum sucker inside.

I wrapped the sucker stick with some scrap brown paper and added little tendrils using green card stock. Super simple too. If you want your pumpkin to stand on it's own, snip the bottom of the oval to form a flat bottom (you can see this cut in the picture above).

Here I am showing how on one of my pumpkins, I snipped the sucker stick short and the other I left long. I prefer the short stem, but my son thought the long one looked better.

These would look super adorable if you embossed the pumpkin layers before assembling. :)
