Back to School Card

Here is a cute card I make last night.  I was having trouble sleeping... so why not get up and craft! :)
This is an A2 card and surprisingly enough, it's not a shaped card!  I grabbed all cuts from the Locker Talk cart, the notebook paper is cut at 3 1/2" and the "back to school" circle is cut at 2 1/2".

This little sentiment circle comes with the little pencil, I did color in the tip with my white gel pen though. I added the black shadow layer (I just grabbed a circle shape from Locker Talk and sized it to 2 3/4").

I love this little binder clip.  I bought it forever ago and I use them all the time, but this one now has a permanent place here on this cute card. White gel pen doodling finishes off the sentiment.

I added white crafting string around the green polka-dot paper before adhering it to the card. The lines on the notebook paper were just little slits, so I traced them with black and red Glaze markers.  Can you see the wonderful gloss that the finished lines have? I love them.  More white gel pen stitches finish this element too.

I took a little scrap of the background paper to decorate the inside too.  For this card I used generic black and white card stock.  All the cut pieces on the front are from my scrap bin.... the background paper is from DCWV's Grade School Mat Stack.

Bee-u-tiful Card

I have a super fun card to share with you today.
This is my very first spinner card. :)
The card base is from Wild Card but any circle card base (or make one yourself) can be used for this card.  I cut the card base out at 5" (in white) a black circle layer at 5", a light blue circle layer (4 3/4") that I added a little cut out on the right side and the face of the bee (not welded so they cut out,  using my Gypsy).

The yellow circle (added with a brad under the blue layer) rotates to reveal three Peachy Keen faces and a birthday message. I placed the brad in the center of the card but lined up the bee to cover the brad head. The little clouds are from Create a Critter as is the Bee.

I inked all around the blue layer and the clouds in royal blue ink. I added some Star Dust Stickles on the bee's wings, the clouds and the bee's body too. A little more on the sentiment tag finish off the card giving it a wonderful sparkle.

All the Peachy Keen faces are from the Everyday Face Assortment.

The fourth spot on the spinner wheel says "Hap-bee Birthday" using Marker font. I also stamped a little bee trail under the the bee using the same royal blue ink that I applied to the clouds and blue circle.

Here you can see the shaped card base. I just used white so it'll be easy to write inside.

The stamped sentiment is a mix of two different stamps from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious. I punched it with my EK Success Photo Label punch and matted it in yellow and black. Lastly, I added some white gel pen stitches. I am super happy with the card.  I hope you all like it too! :)

If you'd like to make this card too, here is the Gypsy file for you:

"Smile" Doggy Card

I just had to fit in a card today.  I didn't have a lot of time to craft but I couldn't resist this little puppy!
I saw a design team member over at Fantabolous Cricut use this doggy from Paper Pups and instantly had this card in mind. I cut the pup at 3 1/2", but I cut his main layer three times, once in the light brown, once in yellow (for his duck floaty) and once in orange (for the beak). He's attached to the card base with pop dots.

All of the paper I used came from my scrap bin, the blue circle remind me of pool water or bubbles. :)  I added an embossed "smile" sentiment from my stash. Even the thick blue sheer ribbon is from my scrap bin.

I added just a few white doodle lines to the brown back ground layer.  Glossy Accents give the dogs nose some wonderful shine while some flat back adhesive black pearls add the perfect eyes for both the dog and the duck.

The oval card base (welded on my Gypsy) measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"... I grabbed this oval from Preserves, but you could use any oval you'd like.  I sized the additional layers to 4"x 5 1/4" and 3 3/4" x 5".
