Today marks the start of another Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge!!
This weeks theme is:
Sketch + Back to School!!
Here is my take on the sketch. All my patterned cardstock is from DCWV's Grade School stack. The card base is a standard A2 with the corners rounded with my corner chomper. The oval is 3 1/4" x 4" 1/4" and 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" cut from Accent Essentials. The Hexagon is also from Accent Essentials, cut at 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" and 2 1/2" x 4". The cute little ruler is actually Peel and Stick Ruler Tape, cut to size, 1/2" x 4" and the black layer cut to 3/4" x 4 1/4".
Here is the sketch for this week's Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge. As you can see, I tipped the sketch over on its side to add some interest and variety to the challenge.
The "back to school" is from Simply Charmed cut to 1 3/4" and matching shadow layer. I added the hexagon layer with pop dots as well as the ruler layer.
These cute little red back self adhesive pearls finish off the corners to match the sketch and I added my white gel pen stitches to all the black layers and some little doodle-dots to the sentiment too.
Some scraps of the cardstock and black layers finish off the inside of the card too.
We'd love for you to come on over and play along with us at Die Cuttin' Divas!
