Spring Birthday Card

Here is a spring birthday card I made today!! It measures
5" x 5" so I'll have to make an envelope for it! :(

I added a little bird to the tree in scraps of the back ground blue polka-dot paper.
I inked the bg paper, the bird and the clouds with dark blue ink.
The tree is glued under the grass like at the trunk and the top is attached with pop-dots.

I love this little sunshine.  I covered the center of it with glossy accents
and inked the golden layer with orange ink.
(Yep, I couldn't wait to take the pic and the GA
are still wet... they'll be clear when they finish drying.)

I inked the grass and tree top with green ink and the trunk with black ink.
Adding stickles and rhinestones to the purple flowers really made them shine (yeah, the flowers are actually dark purple and you can see the color through the glitter in person)!

The inside of the card got gel pen stitches (like the front of the card) and I put little eyes on all the birds with the same white gel pen. I thought the little bird family on the inside was oh-so-cute!

Supplies:
Craft  card stock base
Black card stock layer
blue polka dot paper is Heidi Grace
Green card stock
chocolate brown card stock
goldenrod card stock
orange card stock
Dark purple generic card stock
clear self stick rhinestones
Glossy Accents
Stickles
Gelly Roller white  gel pen
Pop dots
Scotch Quick Dry Glue
ATG glue runner
birthday sentiments are Scrappy Mom's Stamps

Cricut Cartridges used:
Preseves for the card base:  (it's just a tag so most any tag could work).  I sized the card base to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", copied and welded the two to form the card. I coped the shape two more times to make the black and blue polka-dot mats (black @ 4" x 5 1/4" and blue@ 3 3/4" x 5").
Simply Charmed for the tree (3")
Serenade for the leaves, flowers and bird
Gypsy Wanderings for the sun (1")
Paper Doll Dress up for the grass layers

"Hope Happens" shaped card

Okay, here I am again with the shaped cards!!
I know... I promise I'll get over it soon!!

Here's the story of this card.  I knew I wanted to make a bird cage card for the challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 (use a bird house or bird cage).  And then I spotted Robyn, The Pink Stamper's challenge (bird) and it all just came together.

This little birdy is sitting in her cage dreaming of the great outdoors, freedom, spreading her wings and flying.  She closes her eyes and hopes that one day she can leave her little cramped cage and fly free.

See, she was hoping hard enough her cage opened up
and she found herself outside on her very own branch.

Here she is enjoying her freedom... cage free! :)
"So Happy for you!" is also from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

The "Hope happens!" stamp is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.
I inked the edges of the bird.

I added lots of little details like the rhinestones all over the outside
of the cage and a sheer pink ribbon tied into a bow.

The bird cage card body was made on my Gypsy, welded together in three parts. I hid the contours on two of the cages (to make them like a blackout feature).

All cuts were from the Serenade Cricut Cartridge.
All the pattern paper is from Heidi Grace Designs.

Happy Birthday slider card

Hi everyone!!

I have another challenge card to share with you today.  I made this birthday card for the My Pink Stamper (Robyn) birthday challenge

This cute little cake from Simply Charmed was cut at 2 1/2".  I lined up the candle and placed them on the slider so when you pull the tab, the candles "go out"... I thought it was oh-so-cute! :)

The "Make a Wish" stamp and the glitter glue is from Studio G.

The "Happy Birthday" stamp is from Target's dollar bins.

The cake is mounted up on pop dots.  The little light yellow ribbon is from my stash.

I have matching polka dot paper on the inside of the card too, but forgot to take a picture of it. :(

I do have the gypsy cut file for this card.  If you'd like it, please email or tell me in a comment and I can email it to you.  The file uses Simply Charmed, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and Plantin Schoolbook.

My Pink Stamper Saturday Challenge

Challenge:  Make something Winter related!

 Scrapbook page, card, gift, etc.

Here is my entry for Robin's challenge.  It's a winter scene card with a pickup taking home a beautiful Christmas tree! I cut the pickup from Just Because Cards at 5" (all layers including the shadow) using the flip feature.  The truck is completed with silver mirror paper for the hub caps, door handle and fenders. Then I cut the Christmas tree at 3" from Doodlecharms (including the shadow layer).

I added glitter to the truck top and the tree to represent a fresh winter snowfall.  Then I added the "Christmas is on its way!" embossed in black.  The stamp is a couple years old so I don't know if you can still get it or not, but it's from Inkadinkado # 97734 - Warm Holiday Wishes.

And lastly, I added some white "stitching" using my Gelly Roll pen.  I don't know what's up with me, but I've been adding stitching to everything lately!! :)
