Ornament Projects for Family Fridays

Today is a "Family Friday" over at Crazy About Cricut
The assignment is to make an ornament project with your kids.

I have two projects for you today.  First up is my disk ornaments my kids will be making for our family members.  These are super simple but so cute because they include pictures of my boys.  I used "Keepsakes" 3 1/4" flat disk ornaments.  After I used Photoshop to add their names and the year, I print out the pictures and  my boys cut them to fit in the 3" circle and I glue the sides together.
What a simple but soon-to-be cherished ornament.

Here are the wonderful ornaments my kiddos made:

The second is a wonderful ornament that could double as a stocking stuffer!!  "Grinch Pills" could be perfect for that person on your Christmas list that just doesn't have the Holiday Spirit. My kids LOVE this project so we are making one for each of their cousins and attaching them to the top of their Christmas gifts!

I have included jpg files for you to make your own double or single sided "Grinch Pills" and the Gypsy file for you to cut the tic tac wrapper with your Cricut. - Just follow the links (or click on the photos) to go to 4Shared to download the files.  If you have a problem, I can email them to you too.

Double sided and single sided "Grinch Pills."

Both sides of the double sided version of the project.
Here you can see how I added the ornament hanger.
I used the Big Pack of tic tacs for this project.

I saw a similar project on another blog, but for the life if me, I can't remember who's it was.  It used Make the Cut, so I couldn't use the files, but I set out to make my own.  The Gypsy files use "Just Because Cards" for the rounded rectangle and "spine" of the tic tac wrapper.

In case you missed it, here is the project I shared during the Snowy Winter Blog Hop this last weekend.  I didn't share the Gypsy cut files during the hop and had a few people interested in them.  In case I didn't already email them to you, or if you are interested now, I have included the links here. Enjoy!
