This time the theme is birthday!! My 8 year old Bryce made this card!! Aside from the heat embossing and white gel pen stitches Bryce did it all! :) He is such a little star in the crafting space! My 6 year old, Owen, shared a project last Thursday, so it was Bryce's turn in the blogging spotlight!
This is Bryce's completed card. He is so proud...
Using Gypsy Wanderings (but you can use any cart with scalloped circles, scalloped ovals and circles) we designed the card in my Gypsy. My Little Man is actually really good on my Gypsy!
We cut the following shapes:
1 5" circle in brown
2 5" circles in white (for the cream filling)
1 6" scalloped circle in brown for the card front
2 6" scalloped circles (welded) for the card front
1 1 3/4" scalloped oval in brown for the sentiment layer
1 1 1/2" scalloped oval in brown
After we cut out all the layers, Bryce embossed the brown circle layer. This layer will be the top of the sandwich cookie. He used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder.
He stamped the inside with a Studio G stamp.
How proud is he!?! :)
This is the card front. I added the gel pen stitches for Bryce. I also did the heat embossing with the Studio G "sweet" stamp. Although he'd probably do fine, I get nervous around heat tools.
Bryce wanted to add the buttons and I convinced him they need a little white twine too. :)
Bryce thinks the gel pen stitches add a lot to the project but says I "do them better".
Didn't Bryce do a great job on his stamping for the creamy center?
Thanks for visiting us today!! Bryce loves reading comments about his work. If you have the time, please leave him a comment.
Bryce is also entering this card into the challenge

Way to go Bryce!!!! You did an amazing job! I think you're right about the stitching, it really adds a lot to the project (I think your Mom does it better than I do too)! :) Great job, keep on creating and thanks for sharing! :)

How fun & I love that he's helping you. I saw that blue purse embosser thingie at Joann's and was trying to figure out what it was. LOL. Now I know. This is a great Oreo cookie card. So creative. Thanks for entering my Cuttlebug Challenge. :) Janis
