Tinkerbell Shaped Card

Hi! Thanks for hoping with us along Nicolette's Birthday Bash Blog Hop today!!

If you came from Nicolette's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just came across this hop and would like to start from the beginning, please go back to Nicolette's blog.

With a theme of birthday and Disney, I just had to break out my Tinkerbell and friends.  I only have two Disney Cricut cartridges, Tinkerbell and Cars and I really have to admit I am a HUGE Tinkerbell fan, but so is my little neighbor who is turning seven next month! :)

Here is the card she will receive for her birthday:
Because all the Disney carts have such small detail pieces, I decided to cut just Tinkerbell's head. I sized her shadow to 5 1/2" and welded the shapes together to form the card base. I always cut one additional shadow to put on the front of the card to hide the folded side of the card base.

I added glitter around the lines of her hair... Studio G glitter glue does the job perfectly. I put together this little charm on a little wire.  The rhinestone flower is rescued from a broken bracelet. I just taped the pin to the back of the Tinkerbell hair layer so the birthday girl can pull it out to save or reuse.

Here you can see the glitter I added to her eyes and lips. So cute! :) I also used my white gel pen to add the little twinkle in her eyes.

I stamped a sentiment from a Scrappy Mom's Everyday Greetings set. I love how simple this birthday card is, yet I know it will be treasured by my little neighbor.

Thanks for visiting me today.

This card is adorable! I would not have thought of putting glitter on the irises of her eyes, but it's perfect! I love it on the lips, too. What girl doesn't love glitter lip gloss!! Thanks so much for these great ideas.
