Sparkling Horse Card

I made this cute glittery card for a horse lovin' little girl that will be turning eight soon.  All the cuts are from Create a Critter, the horse is 3 1/2" and the star is 3".  The background paper from DCWV's Glitter stack, the rest of the card is scraps but I know that the white glitter paper (the star) is also from a DCWV pack.

I always accent CAC cuts by adding a little shine to their eyes with my white gel pen. The horse is attached with pop dots.

My ADORABLE sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's. As you can see, the glitter paper is difficult to stamp onto but I think it really is worth the effort. I separated (I covered the half I didn't want to stamp with some scotch tape, applied ink, then removed the tape and stamped) the sentiment and stamped it onto two lines.

I used scraps to create this cute little pocket on the inside of the card.  Like the front, I added some gel pen stitching around the brown mat.

Flower Birthday Card

Here is a super fun shaped card I made.  I adore shaped cards and make them quite often... I may have to make some more of these to add to my card stash.
All the paper is from my stash. I cut the card shape using the flower on Simply Charmed (page 39) and used my Gypsy to size it to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and weld the shadow layer to form the card base. The entire flower head is popped up on a layer of pop dots.

I inked all the edges of this card, the orange layers using orange ink and the green layer using green ink. I curved this stamp from Hero Arts : Big Hugs set to fit the shape of the flower head.

I used a green button from my stash and some lace to add an adorable stamen to the flower head. I popped the center of the flower up on a second layer of pop dots to accommodate the thickness of the button. I ran a length of lace around the bottom edge of the flower head too.

Here you can see how cute the shaped card base is.  I love how well it stands up.  It opens from the top, I cut the card base in white and cut an additional top layer in black (for the shadow) and the extra layer covers the folded edge on top.  Lastly, I added some doodling using my Gelly Roll white gel pen.

Happy Birthday to a real Fungi!

I have this fun card to share today. I think it'd be wonderful
for just about any fun guy I know! :)
This is an A2 card, the paper is from DCWV Guy Stack. The mushroom is cut at 3" from Paisley cart. I tied some brown gros grain ribbon across the card, added some white craft twine and tied a knot on the right side of the card.

I inked around all the edges of the mushroom. Using black ink and a finger dauber adds so much dimensions on cuts like these. I embossed the white layer with the Distressed Stripes folder by Cuttlebug. The little face is from Peachy Keen's everyday face assortment. I doodled on the mushroom and added the details on the eyes with my white Gelly Roll pen.

I typed the sentiment on my computer using Expose font at 24 points. I printed it directly on the card front before assembling the card. I think these little brads are a perfect embellishment that isn't too girly.

The inside of the card is the same as the front, the black mat measure 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". The stripy mat measures 5 1/4" x 4". Again, I inked the edges of the stripey mat with black ink.

Birthday Hats Card

If you haven't yet, please take a second to enter my 400 follower giveaway!
I made this card a LOOOOOONG one.  It measures 9" x 4"
(the card stock base only measure 9" x 2 1/2").

The center b-day hat is mounted up on pop-dots. Part of the challenge over at MAG is to use cuts from only one page on the specified Cricut Cartridges, in this case p. 110 on Doodlecharms.  So the birthday hat border is from that page but so is the little postage stamp style border along the bottom of the page.  It's actually the card feature on that page.

The stamp is from Scrappy Mom's.  I added LOTS of layers of gel pen stitches on this card. I really think it added to the whimsy of this card!! :)

I added some brown and white twine (wrapped around the card front multiple times) and tied it in a bow.  I hot glued a white button to the bow too.

Supplies Used:
Craft Card stock
Heidi Grace Pattern paper
brown and white twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Studio G Glitter Glue
ATG glue runner
Scotch quick dry glue
pop dots
white button
white gel pen

Cartridges Used:
Doodlecharms: all cuts from page 110
