Off Roading Truck card

Here is a little card I made for my son's classmate.  Bryce (my 8 year old) loves that each and every member of his class gets a handmade card for his or her birthday. We usually make it together, but I assembled this card while Bryce was at school.  

I used "The Guy Stack" from DCWV for all the patterned paper. As you can see the blue bg paper has a glossy diamond plate pattern and the second hill is also glossy.

The hill and mountain are cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. 

The clouds are from Create a Critter at 1" and 3/4".

I used DCWV shimmer paper for the layers of the truck, blue for the truck body and silver for the bumpers. This truck is cut a 1 3/4" from Boys will Be Boys. The tires are up on pop dots and the truck is attached to the card base with a second layer of pop dots. I added some Star Dust Stickles to the headlight.

I inked the edges of the hills and mountains with black ink. The sentiment is printed on Post-it Adhesive Craft Paper. I used the Dinosaura font for the adorable sentiment that Bryce came up with! :)

Bunny Birthday Double Slider Card

I have a slider card to share with you today.  I used a tutorial from a book I have called Interactive Cards from Annie's Attic. I've also seen a video of this style of card here. As you can see I inked all the edges on this card!! I used blue, purple and green for all these fab layers!

Normally you'd have an easy place to add your message, but I filled that up with embellisments so I made the front where the bunny is into a card of its own. The inside sentiment is an old one from Stampin' Up.

You would pull on the ribbon on the top and here is what happens!! 

TAAA DAAAA!!

Here is a close up of the bunny. I added a bow I tied in sheer purple ribbon with my Bow Easy. Can you see the double loops in the ribbon?? :) In case you can't see it that well, the top of the slider pops up and says "Hoppy Birthday"...

... and the bottom says "to an awesome chick!" I just thought it was so so cute!

Everyone loves a Hippy Chick!

Hi guys!! :)

This is the first time I've had the cartridge to enter in the Tacky Tuesday Challenge... I am so excited!! :)

This weeks challenge is to use the Chick from the Simply Charmed cart (Page 35), you will also need to use the word "chick" somewhere in the sentiment on your project.

I made a shaped card base using the easter egg on Doodlecharms and welded it with my Gypsy. I also added some little glasses from Everyday Paperdolls (complete with yellow tinted lenses).  I really wanted to add a peace sign, but I don't have a cartridge that has one so I had to make one up.  I used an "O" an "I" and a "V" from Simply Sweet.

I grabbed the tie-dye patten from Google and printed it onto white card stock and then cut the egg card front with my E. The glasses and peace sign are cut with DCWV gold glitter paper.  The sentiment "Everyone loves a hippy chick!" was printed using Peas Bhea Script. I cut it out and matted it with some scrap tie-dye paper and added at an angle.

I attached the chick and the sentiment block to the card base with pop dots. The little flowers are mini Primas and I added the little metallic gold gems to the flower centers. Throw on some stickles and some black pen doodling and I was done! :)
