Doggy Wobble Card

Today marks the start of another Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge!!
This weeks theme is:

Here is my card using the DCD sketch. I just couldn't help pulling out and oldie, but goodie.... Doodlecharms, for the doggy!! He is cut at 3 1/2", the ovals are from Plantin Schoolbook, measuring 4" and 3 3/4". This cute word back ground is an old one by DCWV from my stash

I added glitter gel pen around the doggy and all the brown layers. The doggy is mounted up on an Action Wobble and the oval layer is on foam tape. The dog's eyes are finished off with some small silver brads.

This adorable Scrappy Mom's Stamps sentiment (stamped with Timber Brown ink) is stamped on a label I trimmed by hand.

Here you can see the glitter gel pen sparkles. This glitter pen is a stardust by Sakura. I added some larger silver brads to the corners to match the fun sketch.

We'd love for you to come on over and play along with us at Die Cuttin' Divas!

B-Ball B-day

Today marks the start of another challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas.
This week the challenge is:

This is a standard A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") card. I grabbed this paper on clearance at Joann's. An orange cardstock base, black cardstock layer, and the patterned paper full of basketballs, it really just screams boy card! I added some orange and white twine to add interest. The orange and patterned paper is inked with brown ink.

I added three black brads and a happy birthday sentiment stamp from Studio G.

This basketball is cut at 3" from Life's a Party. I embossed the orange layer using the Bubbles Cuttlebug folder and inked with brown ink to add texture and interest. This basketball is also attached with an Action Wobble. That sure makes this card extra fun!!

The inside of the card is outfitted to match the front. I love adding the layers to the inside.

We'd love for you to stop by Die Cuttin' Divas and enter the challenge!

Kitty Scalloped Circle card

Saturday is my son's teacher's birthday. This is the card my son and I designed together. She loves cats so Bryce wanted to be sure it had a cat on it. :)

The adorable card shape is from Winter Woodland. While a lot of cartridges have scalloped circles on them, I really love this one! :) We created the card base on my Gypsy and sized it to 5". The circle layers are from Plantin Schoolbook measuring 4" and 3 3/4".

This adorable little kitty is an oldie but a goodie... from Doodlecharms. We sized it to 2 1/2". We placed a 1/2" heart (also from Doodlecharms) for the nose and added a little scrap under the nose. We also added the little triangles for the ears. Bryce placed the kitty on an Action Wobble. So cute! :)

The adorable red and white polka dot paper is from Echo Park's Dots and Stripes pad. I placed the small polka dots above the scalloped border trim and large polka dots beneath it.

I added the sentiment stamp from Hero Arts' Big Hugs set. I curved the sentiment on my blog to mimic the curve on the card front. I couldn't help but add some doodled stitch lines using my Gelly Roll pen.

A second stamp from the Hero Arts : Big Hugs set finished off the inside. My son loves this card and says he is sure his teacher will too. :)

Lizard Birthday

Today marks the start of another Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge. This week the challenge is "reptiles."
I made this adorable square card, measuring 5". The lizard is from Boys Will be Boys, cut at 4" and mounted up on an Action Wobble!! I love those little things! :)

I added white gel pen stitches on the lizard shadow layer and the black (4 3/4" square) layer on the card base. The little black gems are from Craft Warehouse. I used the same gems in a smaller size for the lizard's eyes. The background paper is from KI Memories "Boys will be Boys" stack.

A quick strip of seam binding black ribbon ties the colors together. The "happy birthday" stamp is from Scrappy Mom's Stamps.

The Action Wobble adds about the same amount of dimension as pop dots do. I decorated the inside with scraps of the same paper layers as the front. All corners are trimmed with my We R Memory Keepers 1/2" Corner Chomper.

I tried REALLY HARD and finally got a pic of the Action Wobble!! Love it!

Bobble Head Doggy Card

My favorite little neighbor girl fell in love with my Action Wobbles instantly!! :)  I mean, who wouldn't!  She really wanted to make a bobble head with them.  I just had to make this little card for her.  I LOVE Create a Critter, so when I saw the Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps I just had to enter this card I made for her.

Sorry this picture is blurry! I added LOTS of Glossy Accents to the doggy's nose (and ears) to make it stand out and be shiny like a really puppy! Glitter glue on the collar and pink bow made her so lovable.

I put some more Glossy Accents on the eyes after adding little shines with my white gel pen.  The collar and bow also got some GA details.  Here you can see the wonderful dimension that the Action Wobble added to the head. I had to cut two dogs and cut the head off one so I could add it to the top of the wobble.

The purple plaid paper is from DCWV's Spring stack, the black, pink and light purple card stock is all generic from Joann's card stock packs.  The darker purple is Recollections from Michaels.

Here is a Scrappy Moms Stamp I added to the inside.  Eve just loved her little puppy.  Even if she didn't want to give it to anyone as a card, the shaped card body allowed her to stand the puppy up to display on a table.  Although, she is probably playing with it like a doll! :)
