Frog Shaped Birthday Card

I love shaped cards... so today I have another to share. :)

This little froggy is from Create a Critter. I sized the shadow layer to 4 1/4" wide and then added the 2" birthday hat from Celebrations to create this 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" A2 card. I welded the shadow layers on my Gypsy at the top so this little guy can stand on his own too. 

This little cutie has a sweet face, so the only thing I did here was add Glossy Accents to the eyes. I love the green on green polka-dots I cut the frog's body with. It's from last years Christmas Stack from DCWV. I tied a double loop bow for the frog to wear using white satin ribbon.

This is an awful picture, but I hope you can see the green glitter paper I used to cut the hat. I love the DCWV glitter paper, but it sure is difficult to photograph.

Here you can see the shaped card body. I combined a couple sentiment stamps from My Pink Stamper's Punny-licious stamp set for the inside sentiment.

"Love you sweetheart" card

Hi everybody, I am on a roll!! Here is another challenge entry.

This time the challenge is over at Fantabulous Cricut. The challenge this week is to create a project that includes sweets (i.e. ice cream, candy, cake etc.)

I made this Valentine card for my youngest son.  

I cut the cupcake at 3 3/4" (and all the layers) from Celebrations.  The little hearts running down the right side are foam, glittered hearts from Dollar Tree. I was so excited to share this card, the Stickles weren't even dry yet when I took the pictures!!

Here you can see how the card opens (it's a Z fold card) and I cut two shadow layers for the cupcake so that you have a place to write on the inside of the card.

I used some Crayola card stock for the bg paper.  It looks like all the hearts were hand-drawn! :) I attached some crafters string to the left side under my sentiment label. I printed the sentiment on my computer using Pea Shelia font at 20 points and added a clip art heart. Lastly I added lots of Stickles... okay I might have a problem with Stickles... it's okay, you can call it an addiction! :)

Emma's Throwback Challenge

Throwback Thursday Challenge! Christmas Theme Project of YOUR Choice!

Emma's instructions this week were to make a Christmas themed project using the  "Celebrations" Cricut Cartridge.  Well, Celebrations is typically a birthday cartridge, so this really was a challenge!! :)

Here is my project. First I'll attach all the pictures. Below the pictures, I'll list the Cricut cuts from Celebrations (including sizes) and the supplies used.  Enjoy!

The "Tree" body/form/tree skirt is the hat tag (p 106) cut @ 6 1/2"

 using the blackout feature

The scallops that form the tree boughs is the round scallop tag (p 123) cut @ RDS 1 1/2" using the blackout feature - cut 8

(the scallops are cut in quarters and assembled to form the tree shape)

The star on top of the tree is the star (p 110) cut @ RDS 1"

The gifts are the presents (p 114) cut @ 1 1/2"

The inside gift (p 114) cut @ 1"

The sentiment tag is the scallop circle tag (p 123) cut @ 1"
