Rainbow Birthday

Today marks the start of another challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas.
This week the challenge is:

Here is my take on the sketch. All the paper is from Echo Park's Summer Days. The rainbow is cut at 1 1/2"  from Simply Charmed!

Here is the Die Cuttin' Diva's Sketch for this weeks challenge.

This adorable sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado using black Memento ink. I would have LOVED to add an Action Wobble behind the rainbow, but it was a little too small. All the layers of the die cut were small enough that I used scraps.

I added two black brads (set with my Stampin' Up Mat pack) and couldn't resist some white gel pen stitches too. I just love this paper. These clouds inspired me to add the rainbow too.

I placed all the layers according to the sketch. The rainbow and the rectangle behind the rainbow are both mounted up on Pop Dots. As you can see in this picture, I made this into a standard A2 (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") portrait card. I think it would make a lovely display too.

We'd love for you to stop by Die Cuttin' Divas and enter the challenge!

Flower and rosette birthday card

Today marks the start of another challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas.
This week the challenge is:
It's a sketch challenge
Here is my take on the sketch...  All the paper is from Echo Park's Summer Days 6x6" paper pad. I love polka-dots and was inspired by this paper when I sat down to craft today! :) The card is a 6" x 6" square card. I cut all the squares down to 2" x 2" and inked all the edges with Memento Cocoa ink.
And here is the sketch of the week.

For the decorative element, I made a little rosette. The paper strip I used to create the rosette started as a 6" x 1 1/4" and I used my MS Scoreboard to score at every 1/8". Super tiny but super fun too.

This darling little flower was created with the Heartfelt Creations die cut set called Posy Patch. This die cut set has a stamp set to go with it... and I just LOVE that!! These are thin dies like Spellbinders and cut wonderful little flowers. I inked the flower layers and used a ball embossing stylus to add dimension and attached them all together with a brad that just happens to match the pink paper in my card!  A cute little banner finishes off the front of the card.

Here is the inside of the card... with matching papers too.

The sentiment stamp on the front and the inside are from Scrappy Mom's Stamps.

We'd love for you to stop by Die Cuttin' Divas and enter the recipe challenge!

Have a Dino-mite day!

Today marks another Die Cuttin' Divas challenge. This week it's:
Sketch Week!

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is my little card for the challenge.  I created an A2 card with white cardstock. I then added a black mat and some paper from DCWV's Stack 7 (the green patterned paper on top) and some Bazzill scraps (the blue sky layer) and some kraft cardstock too.

The little dinosaur is cut at 2 3/4" from Create a Critter. I cut all his layers from scraps and inked them using brown Momento ink. His eyes are black self adhesive flat back pearls. The ground layers are simply ripped and then inked using brown in and layered to create the landscape.

The sentiment is a mix of a couple of My Pink Stamper Stamps (Punnylicious). The black border was punched using Threading Water punch by Fiskars.

I finished off the inside to match. I think this would make a wonderful birthday card, but it could really go for just about any day too! :)

Stocking Card

Today is Tuesday and that means another Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge. This week it's a sketch... like I've said before, sketches are my weakness, so please be honest. :)
My card is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" base so it'll fit in a standard A2 envelope. All my patterned paper is from the Holly Jolly Christmas paper pad by Echo Park (I LOVE this paper).

The red glitter ribbon trim is actually Glitter Garland by Darice. I bought a 25 foot spool of it on Clearance last January. I cut it down and clipped the corners for my card.

The inside of the card has matching paper and glitter trim too.

My stocking is mounted on the green square with pop dots. The red layer measures 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" and the green layer measures 2" x 2". I added some stitches using my white Gelly Roll gel pen.

This adorable stamp came from a $1 pack by Scrappy Cat. I found it at Joanns in the dollar bin. It also came with the rhinestones I put on the cuff of my stocking.

This cute little stocking is from Christmas Cheer. I cut it at 2". The cuff and toe/heals are cut from white glitter paper by DCWV. I love that paper and it's easy to add a little sparkle using just scraps.

Here is our sketch this week. Please jump over to Die Cuttin Divas to enter the challenge.
