Action Wobbles Reindeer treat bag and card

Today I want to share a little project I made.  It is a treat bag and card set.  I LOVE the reindeer from Create a Critter and just had to give him some love today.

For the body of the treat bag all you need is a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock.
Score (on the short side) at 2 1/2" and 6".
Score (on the long side) at 4 1/2" and 6 1/2".

Fold all the score lines in each direction. Bring the sides together (score lines together to form the square bottom) to make the body of the box. It helps to fold these lines in both directions too.

I like to add adhesive to the over-lap on the sides and punch holes in the top.  You can see in the picture how I close the top with a ribbon (about 7 inches).

I found this You Tube video of a similar treat bag if you need some help.

I add the front decorations - layers cut at 3" x 3 1/4" and 2 3/4" x 3".  I cut the Create a Critter Reindeer at 3".  I heat embossed the "Merry Christmas" with black embossing powder and a heat gun. I used an Action Wobble to add the reindeer and he moves!! LOVE THAT!! :)

The card is a Z-fold card with the same reindeer cut at 4".  The sentiment is heat embossed in red on white paper.  I added Stickles to the noses to give them lots of sparkle.  I drew on the white gel pen stitches with a gelly roller pen. The "always believe" is a Studio G stamp from last year.

I am adding the card / treat bag to the following challenges:

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Snowy Winter Blog Hop!!

"Give Thanks" Card

Here is a card I made today using a few new techniques.

I used Sure Cuts A Lot to cut the turkey and the "give thanks"
I used my brand new Gypsy to cut the feathers from Paper Doll Dress Up (and I was able to hide the headband from the cut and make the size exactly right.)

Here is a link to the website where I downloaded the svg file.

In this picture, you can see some of the dimension I added with some THICK pop dots between the mat layer and the card base. I also added pop dots under the "Give Thanks"/turkey layer.
I made some dimension to the feathers by lightly creasing them so they stick up some.

As you can see, the paper on the front is matched on the inside of the card too. I threw in some doodle dots all around the card.  Add a cute layered paper flowers, a button topped off with string and a sheer white ribbon running the height of the card and I am done.

Here is a close-up of the turkey and the layered flower.

I am entering this card into three challenges:

Made by Momo Challenge

It's time for another TUESDAY CHALLENGE @ Made by Momo!!!

"So this weeks theme is to make a card with some kind of embossing!!! It can be heat embossing or you can use your cuttlebug and do some dry embossing."

Paula over at More Than Favors is having an
"Anything Goes" challenge so I'm linking up there too!! :)

Here is my entry for the challenges:

Here is a wonderful Christmas card for you. It has a Santa stamp on the front matted with blue and metallic mirrored paper, metallic snowflakes and more snowflakes embossed on the background.

The two blue sheer ribbons run across the center of the card and are accented with thin silver cording. The tag reads "Always Believe" and it topped off with darker sheer blue ribbon and more of the silver cording.

Both the Santa and the tag are mounted up on pop dots to add lots of dimension.

Did you completely fall in love with my little Santa card???
It is available in my Etsy store at:

Made by Momo Challenge

The challenge over at Made by Momo this week is:

Tuesday Challenge #15

is to make anything EXCEPT a card.
Here is my entry for the challenge.

I made a gift card or lotto ticket holder. You can attach a gift card to the tag or add a belly band and it will hold $1 scratch tickets perfectly! :)

I used Create a Critter to cut the terrier at 2 1/2" and the "for you" is a studio G stamp. The paper is from Cloud 9's seasonal fall/Halloween/Christmas pack. The white twine I grabbed at Dollar Tree.

Do you totally need this gift card holder?? It is listed in my Etsy store at

Made by Momo Challenge: Hubby Challenge

Momo over at madebymomo.blogspot.com has the best challenge ever over on her blog!!  It's the "hubby challenge."  As much as I LOVED the challenge, my hubby was not the best sport.  With a little (okay, a lot) of prodding, my wonderful husband created this card for a very good buddy of his.

My husband, Roy, at the Cricut.
He used Paper Doll Dress up for the girl's top (3 1/2" on Real dial size). He needed help for the girl's body so I drew out the lines for her curves and he cut them out.  He also inked all the edges and tanned her body a little with a cotton ball and the ink. The background paper is from the DCWV summer stack from last year, is supposed to be a towel the girl is sunbathing on.
What better card for a guy to create??
This photo was updated when Roy decided to add the "Make a Wish"
to the bikini top on 09-22-10

And, of course the girl's top "comes off" (opens up).  Roy thought it was a good teaser for there to be the sentiment under her top instead... the "happy birthday" is a studio G stamp from Joann's (so is the "make a wish" on the top).

Wow, she even has tan lines!! :)
Okay that last picture is a little dark... she doesn't
look "Snooki" orange in person...
I'm sure my husband, Roy would love to hear your positive comments about his card... thanks so much!

Made by Momo Challenge: Just Because

The wonderful challenge this week over at Made by Momo is:

"So this weeks theme is to make a card for someone "Just Because"!!! The idea is that you send it out this week to someone and put a smile on their face "Just Because". You do not need to use the Just Because Cartridge, just a "Hello", "Missing You", Thinking of You" kind of card. "

Here is my entry for the challenge.  I made a little card with a Zebra on it... it's my neice's favorite animal.  It has a super simple sentiment of "Smile."  The zebra is from Create a Critter, the sentiment was made on my computer.

I added some Prima flowers in purple, pink and green, then added some Stickles to the flower petals.

I mounted the zebra on Pop Dots and added another prima to her "hair" and again, added Stickles.

Here is the inside with matching papers.

The paper is a DCWV glitter stack from last year.

Made by Momo Challenge: Babies

The Made by Momo Challenge this week is "Babies, and Diapers, and Onesies, Oh My"!!!

My sister is pregnant, and being the sister that I am, I am making her baby shower invites!!

The "New Arrival" onesies are the front of the invite, attached with pop-dots and complete with glitter pen doodling!  The inside includes pockets and all the shower info slips inside.  The inserts include shower info, registry info, a slip asking the guests to bring some baby advise and an additional registry slip about a specific kind of biodegradable cloth diaper my sister is interested in.

At this step, I still need to add a couple things to finish them up.  I will be adding an embossed sentiment on the inside pocket reading "It's a Boy!" I also need to load the pockets too.

Here are the other style I made.  I needed a total of 30 invites, so I made 10 of each style.

The paper on this one is glittery! :)

Feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to know what you think.

Become a follower too, it would be so fun sharing my crafting journey with you!

Made by Momo Challenge

Tuesday Challenge Girly Affair!!!
Made by Momo posted a challenge last week: To make a project that is super girly. My project was a "waterfall card" I made for my neighbor Eve, who was turning 6 years old.

For those of you who don't know, a waterfall card is a animated card that moves when you pull the ribbon at the bottom. Take a look at the pictures, I'm sure you'll understand what I mean! :)
