Sweet Treats Digi Cards

Welcome to another great challenge at PAPER PLAYTIME! We are so glad you are joining us for our AUGUST STAMPING MONDAY CHALLENGE!
I made this yummy card for the new Paper Playtime Challenge : Vacation.

This ADORABLE card is featuring Doodle Pantry's Decadent Desserts Digi set

The sentiment on this card reads "I'm taking a vacation from my diet."  This is the only sentiment I created, the rest come from the digi set.  All the patterned paper is from DCWV's Stack 7, the card bases are using Bazzill textured card stock.

I added twine to each card and punched out the sentiment using my photo label punch from EK Success. A few buttons tied with matching twine finishes off the uniform look to this card set.

All the digis are printed onto white card stock and mounted on pop dots. The card shapes vary but all are from the Preserves Cricut Cartridge.

Here is the set all huddled together... they all fit into a standard A2 envelope.

And one more look at this card set.

Or you can buy the whole set uncolored.... both ways are so tasty!! :)

Please hop over to Paper Playtime and enter the challenge (and take a look at what the other design team ladies have come up with)... and stroll over to Doodle Pantry and grab an adorable digi... they have a collection of freebies too!

America the Beautiful card

Today is a Digital Design Team Day over at Paper Playtime! :)
The theme this time is to red, white and blue project and include a digital image.

Today I am using an image from Doodle Pantry
I made this flag shaped cricut-less card by hand.  I just drew the wave shape by tracing the shape onto a cardboard template so all the lines would be parallel. The card base measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
I love the antique like feel I achieved by using ivory, cranberry red and navy blue for the card stock layering of the flag.

I added the red circle around the eagle using Photoshop.  I printed it onto some glossy photo paper and it really has a wonderful shine.  I used some of my kids markers to color the eagles feathers, beak and eye.  I cut two of these and cut out one eagle to pop him up on  a layer of pop dots.

I printed the sentiment with the eagle.  I then punched it with my EK Success photo label punch and made a little mat with some scrap blue paper. I added some smaller stars to the four corners.

These stars are little strips of adhesive back embellishments. These are by Mark Richards (I bought them at Michael's on clearance for $1.99 last November). As usual, I added some stitches using my white Gelly Roll pen.

Here is the card base, you can see how I cut the entire card base into the waving flag shape.

Here are all the images you get with this patriotic eagle image.  I love all the sentiments!! Here is the link to the Doodle Pantry Store so you can grab this set too!

"Love is so Tweet" cards

Today is Paper Playtime Digi DT day!! YEAH!!
The theme for this challenge is "Love / Marriage."

I am featuring digital stamps by Doodle Pantry.
This project includes images from the Love Birdies Set.

I made two cards with the same digis.  I think these would be wonderful anniversary cards.

As you can see, I colored the digi with my image editing software (I use Photo Shop).I added some clouds in the back ground and put the birdies and the sentiment in an oval. With my Gypsy Wanderings, I cut out the scalloped ovals. I set some rhinestones around the oval scallops.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. The white scalloped oval is shimmer paper, I just love the sheen.

I tied the blue satin ribbon into a double looped bow with my Bow Easy.

.
I hope you can see all the dimension in the colors on this digi.  I colored the wings in with four differnet blue hues to show the shadows. The "Home Tweet Home" on the little birdie's sign is another sentiment included with the Love Birdies set from Doodle Pantry.

And here is my second card using the same images from the Love Birdies digi set.

I used DCWV dark blue glitter paper for the accents on this card, but all the sizes and layout is nearly the same.

I even added paper tails on the sentiment block with scraps of the glitter paper.

The birdies on this card are a lighter blue. You can easily see the depth in the bird's wings on this one! :)

Morning Glory Card

Today is Paper Playtime Digi DT day!! YEAH!!

I am featuring digital stamps and papers by Doodle Pantry.  This project includes both the Morning Glory Image and the Spring Day Digi Paper Pack.

This is the first time I've used images from Doodle Pantry, but I have to say how much I love them!! Here you can see the back ground paper is a wonderful vine with flowers.  The flowers came in pink but I used my image editing software to change them to blue to better go with my image.

The sentiment stamp is from Scrappy Moms. Lots of gel pen on this card too! :)

I added some thin lace to the body of the card but also added it under my image oval.  The scalloped oval is from Gypsy Wanderings. I just cut it 1/2" larger than the oval I put behind the Morning Glory image.

There are LOTS of layers on this card. I cut out two of the morning glory images and attached a second set of flowers with pop-dots. Then I added the white oval to the blue scallop with glue runner but added all that to the card base with pop-dots. The white pearl on the center of the card stands up quite a bit too.

Can you see the dimension in this picture?? I even added the sentiment with pop-dots!!

I want to show you how much you get from Doodle Pantry:
Morning Glory
This Morning Glory comes uncolored with several sentiments.

Spring Day Digi Paper pack
The Spring Day Digi Paper Pack also includes several other paper designs including rain, clouds, grass, and two flower back ground designs.
They also have a page of freebies to try out!! I love the freebies too! :)

"You're an Egg-traordinary Friend" Card

If you haven't yet, please take a second to enter my 400 follower giveaway!

First things first:
HAPPY EASTER!!
I have an Easter-ish card to share with you today.  I grabbed this freebie digi from Doodle Pantry and thought it would pair beautifully with this egg picture.
A few years ago I went CRAZY dying eggs for easter.  I made some tie-dye, some stripy etc. Well I took a picture of all my hard work.  When I was ready to make this card, I took the photo a changed the intensity of the colors with my image editing software. I love playing with color!! :)

Here you can see the lace I used to make a border on the card.  I matted my egg photo with a bright pink mat and then a black mat.  Gel pen stitches were added (as always).

Here is a close up of the sentiment.  This is a free download from Doodle Pantry. I added this sentiment on a layer over my picture. I also threw on a white outline to help it stand out from the eggs.

And here is a picture of my altered eggs photo.  Feel free to grab it if you'd like to use it. Just click on it to see it full size and save it to your computer. I love to share! :)
