Wedding card

Today I have a couple of wedding cards to share.  I think they are so fun!
Here is how the card looks closed.  It is a standard A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") when folded. The tux is from Wedding Solutions cart and the wedding dress is a mix of two dresses from Tie the Knot. Both measure 4 1/4" tall.  I welded them to the card base to they can each fold out to revel the second layer of the card.

Here I added some wonderful Heidi Grace paper. It has a black background with some medium gray swirls (that doesn't come out in the picture). I cut the little 1" bells from the Wedding Solutions cart. The "Congratulations!" is from Scrappy Mom's Stamps and it's embossed in white. I love how they are both hidden by the front layer.

Here is the last layer of the card. The black card layer opens up to reveal the sentiment "Wishing you the best, today and always. Congratulations!" in Edwardian Script.

Here is the dress up close. I cut it out of white shimmer card stock.  After embossing it with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, I attached it with quick dry glue and added some liquid pearls and clear Glaze pen accents around the edge of the dress.

The tux also got some clear Glaze pen accents, but I also popped up the lapel and bow tie up on pop-dots.  The shirt layer is cut with some more white shimmer paper. The little buttons on the tux are added with more liquid pearls.

I made a second card that is just slightly different.  On this one, the bride and groom are reversed, so is the "Congratulations!" on the second layer.

Again, I embossed the Scrappy Mom's stamp and added the little bells.

Here is the complete look at the final layer of the card. The card base it cut in Ivory, but it sure looks yellow in this picture. Sorry, today was the last day of school for my kids and I couldn't start crafting until they went to bed.... ie no good lighting for my pictures! :)

I've been busy...

I just wanted to drop by and say "hi" to all my bloggy friends.  I've been really busy but wanted to share what I've been up to!! :)

I am working on Valentine cards for my Etsy store.  Today alone, I made five Valentine cards and a birthday card for my Grandpa (he's turning 83 this year).

Here are pictures of the love cards!

This one could work as a Valentine or Anniversary card
I used Songbird cart for the frames.

Inside says "Happy Valentines Day"

I used Wedding cart for the "LOVE" and the hearts.

Inside has a cute little pink heart with rhinestones.
I used CAC for the "lucky" and "love"  and hearts, Opposite Attract for the "in"
PPDU for the clovers.

Inside says "to my true love"
I used Wedding cart for the "LOVE" and the hearts.

Inside reads "two hearts... one love"

I used Songbird cart for the frames, and Wedding for the hearts.

I am entering the Valentine's Day Cards into

Here is the card I made for my Grandpa.  He LOVES dogs so I cut this puppy from Doodlecharms... I love that cart. The card is an easel card.  I hope he likes it. :)

And the LAST thing I have to share today is two sets of cupcake toppers I made for my Cousin-in-Law (is that a thing?? She is my hubby's cousin).  She asked for two dozen cupcake toppers for Valentine's Day.  Again, Doodlecharms to the rescue!! I cut both layers of the heart at 2" and added a Close to My Heart stamp.
I made a dozen with a light pink scallop heart...

and a dozen with a red scallop heart.

And here they are together.

Thanks for stopping by!! :)

Waterfall Wedding Card

I have always loved waterfall cards.  Recently, I saw a blog post using a waterfall card as a scrapbook element and loved it.  It also inspired me to share this card with all of my blogging friends!

Thanks to Jen,  The Purple Scrapper for the inspiration!

If you need a tutorial for this card style, the BEST I've found is from Dawn Griffith.  She is a Stampin Up Demonstrator and has THE BEST video tutorials on You Tube!!

I am invited to a wedding at the end of August.  The wedding colors are black and silver (a really classic color combo, I think).  So to match the wedding colors, I designed this wedding card using DCWV's glitter stack and black card stock.  My favorite element of the card, though, is the photos of the wedding couple.  These are their engagement pictures and I think they really are beautiful!

I will be giving this to the lovely couple in a vellum envelope and it truly makes a beautiful card, even before it's opened!  LOVE IT!!

Here are the card details:

Card base: Black, 4 1/2" x 11"
Card front: DCWV glitter paper, 4" x 5 1/4"
Photo strip: black, 2" x 9" (scored @ 2", 2 3/4", 3 1/2", 4 1/4")
Strip to hold the moving element: DCWV glitter paper, 3/4" x 4 (attached with eyelets)
Photos: printed on Dell photo paper, 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" (you need 4)
Photo mounts: black, 2" x 2" (you need 4)

Hope you like the card!  I really appreciate comments so feel free to let me know what you think!
