Love you just the way you are

First of all,
Happy Valentine's Day
to you all!!

Today marks another Die Cuttin' Divas challenge. This week it's:
Color challenge : red, pink, black or white + buttons

My heart shaped card is for my hubby!! The card base is from Life's a Party (sized to 5 1/2" wide). The base includes two layers, the scalloped card front and the heart insert. It makes for a very easy card to put together.

I used white cardstock for the base, red for the scalloped layer and a Studio G .97cent patterned paper for the card front.

I attached three red buttons along the side of the card and topped them off with these wonderful rhinestones. They sure add some wonderful sparkle.

This adorable sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up's "Sprinkled Expressions. I got the set free with a recent order from my Stampin' Up rep, Kadie. I stamped the sentiment on a 3/4" heart and matted it with a slightly larger red heart.

I used my Bow Easy to tie this cute little bow using white satin ribbon and attached it to a little strip of red cardstock punched with a Fiskars Scalloped Border punch. I think it goes very well with the white gel pen stitching.

Now please take some time this week to create and link up on the Die Cuttin' Divas blog.
The theme is a color challenge:
red, pink, black or white + buttons

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Love Day to you!! I hope you all have a wonderful
Valentine's Day with your loved ones.

I am also here to share the Valentine Treats that my boys are
 giving to their classmates today.

I made up these cute bag toppers for my kiddos.  I was going to use a cricut cut heart and some pattern paper.  Then I was going to make some recycled cardboard rolls to make pillow box treat containers. We'll my boys chose these options when I had all the samples made up. (Yes, I make samples for all my ideas and let my boys decide what they'd like.)

For the teachers I made plaques that turned out so cute!!

Love Bug Gift Box

I am a very proud member of Tracy's design team over at Craft Junkie Too.  Tracy asked her design team to share a "What's Love Got to do With it" project. We were asked to make a gift bag, party favor, treat bag, box, (for a valentine party or gift) and incorporate the word LOVE in it. :)

I re-used an old vitamin container. I cut a strip of red paper at 4" x 12" and used a Martha Stewart Punch to both the top and bottom.
I used mylar filler (from the Dollar Tree) and filled the jug. You can easily tuck lots of little chocolates, money, small toys or other treats inside the filler.

I used a Bow Easy to tie my bow (there is no way I'd get it that perfect on my own).

The Ladybug is from Doodlecharms (cut at 3"). I added white and pink gel pen
"stitches", Glossy Accents and a Action Wobble finish off the ladybug.

I tied some white craft twine to buttons and glued
then to the bottom of my recycled vitamins jug.

The word "love" is from Simply Sweet.  I added gel pen accents
and glossy accents to the center of the heart.

I added lots of gel pen accents to the border punch.

Please jump over to Tracy's blog at Craft Junkie Too and join in on her challenge.  Have some fun with one of my favorite crafters... she'd love to see what you come up with.

I've been busy...

I just wanted to drop by and say "hi" to all my bloggy friends.  I've been really busy but wanted to share what I've been up to!! :)

I am working on Valentine cards for my Etsy store.  Today alone, I made five Valentine cards and a birthday card for my Grandpa (he's turning 83 this year).

Here are pictures of the love cards!

This one could work as a Valentine or Anniversary card
I used Songbird cart for the frames.

Inside says "Happy Valentines Day"

I used Wedding cart for the "LOVE" and the hearts.

Inside has a cute little pink heart with rhinestones.
I used CAC for the "lucky" and "love"  and hearts, Opposite Attract for the "in"
PPDU for the clovers.

Inside says "to my true love"
I used Wedding cart for the "LOVE" and the hearts.

Inside reads "two hearts... one love"

I used Songbird cart for the frames, and Wedding for the hearts.

I am entering the Valentine's Day Cards into

Here is the card I made for my Grandpa.  He LOVES dogs so I cut this puppy from Doodlecharms... I love that cart. The card is an easel card.  I hope he likes it. :)

And the LAST thing I have to share today is two sets of cupcake toppers I made for my Cousin-in-Law (is that a thing?? She is my hubby's cousin).  She asked for two dozen cupcake toppers for Valentine's Day.  Again, Doodlecharms to the rescue!! I cut both layers of the heart at 2" and added a Close to My Heart stamp.
I made a dozen with a light pink scallop heart...

and a dozen with a red scallop heart.

And here they are together.

Thanks for stopping by!! :)
